revisio Executive Chef Lance Fegen was named "Chef of the Year" by My Table magazine at the Eighth Annual Houston Culinary Awards sponsored by My Table magazine on Sunday, October 3, 2004.

"The culinary community originally recognized Chef Fegen as 2001's 'Up-and-Coming Chef of the Year,'" said My Table magazine editor Teresa Byrne-Dodge. "It has been wonderful to see how he has impacted the industry as well as the community in general in such a short time."

The Annual Houston Culinary Awards recognize culinary professionals who exhibit high standards of hospitality and service, and who are likely to make an impact in the industry in the years to come. The Awards for Culinary Excellence in Houston were founded by My Table magazine in 1997. This year’s event marked the eighth anniversary of the awards.
I am honored to have been named Chef of the Year by My Table magazine,” said Fegen. “I have enjoyed cooking since I was a child and am passionate about the work I do. I truly enjoy being able to share my talents with Houstonians. I am proud to have been considered among some of the best names in the culinary business.”

Fegen regularly teaches classes at Sur La Table, Rice Epicurean Market, and Central Market. Some of Fegen’s most recent events include: 2004 New Orleans Wine & Food Experience; 2004 Fort Bend Food & Wine Affair; 2004 SOS Taste of the Nation event; and participated in Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Camp For All to share recipes and basic cooking techniques with children who have MS.
